I pray this post finds you doing well and enjoying April so far. I am so thankful for the sunny weather we had today and for the nice temps too. My chickens are especially loving it, because they gave us 19 eggs today!! Thats a huge blessing in my book. Speaking of blessings, I feel like lately I've really been taking time to notice the little things. To take in the sounds of the birds, the wind blowing thru the trees, the smell of the flowers in the yard. There are many more things in nature that I've recently started to notice, on purpose. As far as inside the house, I am so thankful for my modest, little home. We recently remodeled our home and although our plan was to sell, the Lord had another plan. So truly its took me a year or so to really grasp that for now, this is home. It's never felt like home, even though we've lived here nearly 15 years. I now see why the Lord has kept us here.   Hello sweet friends! Many years have passed and alot of things have happened since I last posted here. After much prayer and seeking the Lord, I have decided to come back here to this space and once again begin sharing my life here. If nothing else, this blog will serve as a memory for my children and grandchildren ( we are grandparents now <3 ) in the years to come.  I also hope to be an encouragement here in seeking God, living a slow, simple, but purposeful life and sharing my thoughts, along with sharing links to the articles I write in other publications and my YouTube here as well.  With all that said, I will be back within the next couple of days here. Howdy from snowy Alabama! Its been a very long time since I have posted here. I have many, many updates to share. This may take a while, so I'm sure this post will just be the first in a series of  update post. I will go ahead and try to give you a quick overview of our lives the last couple of years! Since I have last posted so much has changed. We have had many, many trying times and challenges in our lives. Our older children are nearly grown and one is even out on her own and expecting our first grandchild, due to arrive in Feb.2018. My husband lost his job in January of 2016, and was able to train to get his CDL and now works as a driver merchandiser for Coca-Cola. We are still here in our same home, still homeschooling, and I am still caring for my 82 almost 83 year old mother, who has Alzheimer's, and is progressively getting worse. We have added a new member to our family, a sweet little girl, Sarah, who is now 2 1/2 years old! What a joy she is to our fami...

    I decided that a great place to start here on my blog since I haven't really blogged in so long is to recap our year. I would love to put lots of pictures in this post to be quite honest with you, I am posting from my new macbook air and I haven't the slightest clue how to post pictures  from here yet. So I'll probably come back with just a photo post :-)     In January of 2014, we re-listed our home after abruptly removing it from the market in early December 2013, with a new realtor. I honestly  had high hopes that our home would sell quickly. Again, God had other plans. Its still for sale as I type this and we are once again planning on moving to a different company after our contract ends, later this month. Im  sure some of you maybe thinking that perhaps this is a sign that it isn't God's will for us to move. And that may be the case. Time will only tell, but we certainly still feel that God wants...

Merry Christmas! I have some exciting news to share and if your on facebook with me then please help me keep this a secret until February. We found out in November we are expecting another sweet baby! We are thrilled as I was beginning to wonder if  sweet Jonas was our last. Please join us in prayer for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery of a healthy baby in late July 2015. I plan on coming back to blogging after the 1st of the year but I just had to share our news! No, I'm not expecting, but I still have lots to share in where God has brought us over the past few months. I've missed blogging in a way.   The littles at our house are sick. Very sick. Fevers, coughs, runny noses, and at least 1 incident of vomiting. We are trying to clean and prepare for our realtor to come Friday, which is 2 days later than expected. I emailed her yesterday and postponed our re-listing. But if the sickness continues we may have to wait a few more days.   It's in these times that we can choose to enjoy the "down time", even if we don't feel like its a good time. I love my littles. Of course I love all my children but my littles hold a special place in my heart since they are reversal babies. They are the children that had we not trusted The Lord with our fertility we wouldn't have. Our 1st son and 4th child is actually our first reversal baby. We thought we were done for sure, but praise The Lord He had other plans. When we are down and not able to move around as much, I tend to have more time to think.   I pray this post finds you all doing well. We are once again sick. Our 4 youngest woke up sick and so we are dealing with that. We missed church today but were able to ride out and look at a couple of pieces of land. Nothing quite strikes us as the previous place did, but God is faithful and He will provide us with that perfect place in His time. We are learning more and more every day about God's timing. It is such an easy thing to trust Him when things are going our way, but once the table turns and things go a different direction other than OUR perfect plan, our true intentions on following The Lord is revealed.     I often struggle with the "what ifs" in every situation. The Bible tells us that we are to depend solely on Christ and Christ alone. I can not depend on man or myself. I have to relinquish all if MY selfish desires and let The Lord's desires become my desires. Friends, that is the only way we are going to be happy in this life.    This past ...

   I write this post this morning praying that your new year is off to a wonderful start and that your not freezing cold! We are. We are having record lows here, so much so they are delaying school start times. Of course that's not an issue for us homeschoolers, but I'm sure the  public school mom and dads are glad for the delay. As promised, I'm going to do several post on topics that are near and dear to my heart. I have NO desire to debate with anyone and I'm NOT trying to offend anyone. As I have said before, if what I say offends you or pricks your heart, perhaps it's the Holy Spirit convicting you of something. I've read so many post on Facebook and blogs about women who are in " bondage" to this and that and they must live more like the world to be free. If that's the case with you, sister, Satan has you deceived. He is the king of lies. He comes to steal and destroy. If he thinks your going the right way, he will do EVERYTHING  in his power...

I hope this post finds all of you doing lovely and preparing for next weeks upcoming events. We are taking it easy as we are still regrouping from the flu! I'm hoping to be able to post more because my wonderful husband gave me an iPad for Christmas :-) I've decided to post a Christmas letter for all my friends here who visit my blog. We've been up to quite a bit this last year and I would love to share it all with you! I'm hoping to make this an annual  tradition. I hope this post finds all of you doing well and getting ready for the upcoming new year. We have had the flu/cold for 3 weeks now, and as of today ( Praise the Lord!) we are prayerfully on the mend. It has been a rough road to say the least. I'm labeling this post "Thankful Thursday" because as I sit here I am reminding myself of all the things I am thankful for. I want to do a quick re-cap on what has happened lately. Our dream property we had our heart's set on sold. Our home has been shown several time and still hasn't sold. We are sad, but resting in the Lord's provisions and plan. When I titled this blog " Seeking the Lord Daily", that meant just that. We are seeking His will and His plan, not ours. And sometimes this is a bitter pill to swallow. I know that there are many people right now who don't have it as good as I do. My life isn't perfect, but its so much better than it could have been. I approach this Thanksgiving season with a new perspective on life. I am BLESSED. I am so grateful for every day I am given. I am blooming where the Lord has planted me. I know God is working out the details in the plans of my life. We are seeking out to find land again and find that p...

Sorry I haven't posted an update lately! We have been super busy and I just haven't been able to sit down and post. My camera broke, so no pictures either :-( We still haven't sold our home and although its a little sad, I know that the Lord's timing is better than ours. With that, I ask that you all please pray the Lord sends a buyer to us by spring, so that we can clear the land on the new place and be able to plant a nice garden. I hope your fall is going well. I am so excited to share that we have a good update on our showing from Saturday... The couple want to come back for another showing today at 5!  I am so excited yet I know that they still may not choose our home, but if they don't then atleast we are on the right track. It is bittersweet, in a sense, to be moving from here even though we have only been here 5 years as of December 18. I have brought 3 babies home to this house and had some wonderful memories. I also see God has shown me so much more than I ever expected in this short time as well. I am such a different person and I am amazed that the Lord has brought me to this place after all this time. Some of my children are super excited, others not so much. But this move, what ever God's timing is in regards to it, is just that... GOD. He has brought us to this and opened our eyes in so many ways. At times I am sad over loss that I feel I have suffered in several areas, but I remind myself that His plan is ...

Guess what! Our home is being shown again tomorrow at 12 central time. Please pray that the couple will love it and that they will put in a full price offer! I'm so excited. Hello! I am still here and I promise I have not stopped blogging again. We have been sick and my husband has been out of work since Monday. When he returns to work next week, I have several post lined up. We also got a call today that our house will be possibly shown again soon. There is a man interested who is working with a local credit union right now to secure financing. Please pray he is the one! This would be an answer to prayers for us. Secretly ( or not so secretly) my prayer is that we will sell this house for what we need to sell it for, be able to buy our farm for what we need to get it for and do all the repairs and clear the land in time to be at the farm for Christmas. I pray that everyone who is reading this is having a very blessed day~ We are doing our regular day to day task and getting ready to start school in about 20 mins. We did not get an offer on our house, but the good news is that they LOVED our house. They put an offer in on a house that will be 30 mins closer to the man's new job. If for some reason that offer is not accepted, they plan on putting an offer in on ours. I am a little sad, but so very grateful that they loved our home, that it showed well and that most important, God's time is better than ours. He knows what we need and He knows when we need it! Praise Him for that. I hope to come on later and post a few pictures of our first official school day ( which was yesterday). We have been doing school a day or so here and there, but all the recent doctor appointments have taken the top spot. I'm so glad I homeschool where I am able to take off and do what we need to do. So off I go...on to another wonderful day that t...
